I wanted fame and a model career! Business needs sales leads.
I began with my personal account where I posted my selfies once a month. At the beginning I had only 300 followers, and I dreamt to increase this number to 1000. I used to wonder: how did my friends do that without any effort?
When I understood what I have to do to be popular, I was really upset. I realised that there are only few types of Instagram stars: 1) mommies; 2) gymaholics; 3) beauties with big breast; 4) and travelers. All of them naked.

My aim was not to transform my Instagram into the main source of leads. I wanted to blog for my company image. And it has been quite an expensive toy.
Clients from Instagram do not need almost any persuasion – they literally ask the bill at once.
Example: a business consultant bought our SEO services for his client. It was a hard deal, but not for us. The consultant worked himself nearly to death convincing the client to work with our company. And I’ve already had a reputation of close and familiar friend for him.
There are some current clients among my followers. And once I had a funny story: one of them (who hasn’t paid me in a while) saw my new post and wrote me: let’s continue our work, you’re doing great.
In addition, I send letters to those who applied to our service, but did not buy it after all. So some of them read me and become more loyal - even like the cases I post and write comments under them.
In our CRM we do not divide the leads from targeting or from Direct messages in Instagram. So I can give you only a total number of leads from Instagram that we received in a year: 111.
I have been trying to choose the best variant of design for my profile for several weeks. Began with my personal preferences after all. My favorite color is red. So I based the color scheme on it.
Also I’ve been thinking about selling content a lot: how to fit it in nicely? For a long time I’ve been writing only usefull informative posts. And then it struck me: I will make a special column for “selling” and make visual part of my account more noticeable. You just need to highlight one of the vertical “stripes” in the account (in other words, every third photo in my case). So I needed something endlessly long. My versions were a band, a tree or a house. I had opted for the house. You can see what the designer came up with on the left.
But soon I saw that such pictures do not get a lot of “likes”. That is why I had to add photos in it – the result is on the right.
The style of my account was changing too. At the start Siberian girl tried to imitate travel-bloggers that photograph their best parts against sand and sea. As a result I’ve got light account with red accents. It is on the screenshot on the left.
Then I realised that light accounts bored people, and I need colors and brightness (which suite for my personality much better). This variant is on the screenshot on the right.
What are my plans for the account? Instagram will stay my hobby. I want to increase the number of followers to 20000 by the end of this year, and at the end of 2019 this number should be 100000. What am going to do for it?
I need it to shoot nice Stories. Do you think he’ll agree?
